General Travel Information & Stipend:
Oticon pays for lodging and most meals, starting with dinner on Saturday, July 27 and breakfast on day of departure, Thursday, August 1. You are responsible for all travel related expenses except for ground transportation referred to below. However, Oticon will provide you with a $150.00 Stipend Travel Check towards your expenses. Only students who actually attend the camp are eligible to receive this Stipend Travel Check which will be distributed after students have arrived at the camp. Air Travel:
You will need to make your own arrangements for air travel unless you will be driving to Keystone Resort. To make your air travel arrangements you may contact Oticon’s Travel Agency, World of Travel at 800-759-6753 (a $35.00 booking fee applies). You can go through an online service such as
www.kayak.com or book on-line with an airline directly and avoid a booking fee altogether. Please schedule your flights so you arrive at the Denver International Airport (DIA) no later than 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 27 and depart DIA on Thursday, August 1 after 10:00 am. Keystone Resort is a two hour ride from DIA.
Do not book an airline ticket unless you were notified that you have been accepted as most airline tickets are non-refundable.
Hotel Information: Family and friends of students may not attend and cannot stay with a student in the lodging being provided. Free Internet is offered in most of the condominiums. Your hotel arrival and departure dates should be July 28 and August 2 respectively.
Ground Transportation:Oticon will offer free ground transportation between DIA and Keystone Resort (approximately a 2 hour bus ride). The first bus will depart DIA at 12:00 pm and the 2nd and last bus will depart at 2:30 pm. Plan your flight arrival into DIA by 1:30 pm the latest to allow 60 minutes to claim your luggage and get on the bus. If your arrival is delayed and you will not be able to make the 2:30 pm bus, you have shuttle options offered by CME and Summit Express. CME has a counter in the terminal. www.summitexpress.com. A one-way ride to Keystone is about $65.00-$75.00, but check their web sites. An advance reservation is highly recommended if you know that you are unable to take advantage of the free bus transportation offered by Oticon. Both companies accept credit cards.
The first Bus from Keystone Resort back to DIA on August 1 will depart at 6:30 am. The 2nd and last bus will depart at 8:30 am. Please plan your flights at least 3 1/2 hours after these times (10:00 am and 12:00 pm respectively).
To take advantage of free ground transportation to/from Keystone Resort, you must provide Oticon with your flight information. Instructions to provide your flight info will communicated at a later date for students who have been accepted in camp.
