The 22nd Annual Oticon Audiology Summer Camp will take place July 27 - August 1, 2019 in Keystone, Colorado.
At this serene high mountain setting you will be the guest of Oticon, Inc. for five days of seminars, workshops and discussions.
The Program & Qualification:
This educational program is open to all students in a residential graduate program for audiology in the US and its territories. Prior to attending the students should have completed at least one course in amplification. Students who have attended an audiology camp in the past will not be accepted again and should not apply. Registration deadline is April 5th. Selected students will be notified by April 19, 2019. To be eligible for consideration the student must provide their name, address and other identifying information on this registration web site.
Due to the design of the camp and the experiences, friends and family of students cannot be accommodated and should not attend. The overall experience the students leave with is a mix from the educational program and the interaction and networking with students from other universities through the various social activities. Students of the same gender will be sharing a condominium.
This year's program will focus on Standing out ad a Professional. The information we gather from patients at all stages in the process and how this input is used to guide clinical care in amplification will be discussed in lectures and workshops. We will also have a special session during which a group of audiologists will describe the process of establishing and maintaining a healthy private practice.
Guest Faculty
During a special session a group of invited audiologists in private practice will describe the process of establishing and maintaining a healthy private practice.
Cancellation Fee:
A $50.00 registration cancellation fee will apply to all registrants that cancel in less than 30 days of the camp. If you need to cancel, you must do so by Thursday, June 28th at the latest to avoid being charged the cancellation fee. By registering for the camp you understand that a $50.00 cancellation fee will be assessed if you are accepted to the camp and cancel later than June 27, 2019.
Miscellaneous:
Conference attire is casual, but bring some warm clothes as the temperature can drop to near freezing overnight and be in the 60s during the day. This will be printed in the OtiConnections magazine, which students will receive at camp. Make sure to upload your photo and fun description, if you did not at the time of registration no later than June 7, 2019
